Trinity Free Clinic (TFC) is a free medical, dental and eye clinic that serves the evolving healthcare needs of the uninsured of Hamilton County. Since 2007, Dr. Ken Klotz has served as both volunteer physician and volunteer Medical Director at TFC. In the past six years, Dr. Klotz has logged nearly 300 volunteer hours working directly with patients, and countless volunteer hours devoted to developing TFC best practices and clinic expansion.

Under the guidance of Dr. Klotz, TFC has grown from providing limited health services to 500 patients in its inaugural year, into a comprehensive healthcare delivery site that, in 2013 alone, saw more than 4,000 vulnerable patients. Dr. Klotz embodies TFC’s values that neither wealth nor affluence should ever dictate the care given to a person in need. Dr. Klotz’s vision for the clinic includes not only best practices, but fostering an environment where volunteers serve with sensitivity and maintain the dignity of each patient who walks through the door.

Congratulations to Dr. Klotz for being this month’s Helping Hands Award winner, and thank you for your commitment to providing medical care to those in need.
