Burn Ban in place for Johnson County

 The Johnson County Board of Commissioners enacted a local Burn Ban Executive Order which states that pursuant to Indiana Code 10-14-3, that there be no open burning or discarding of matches, ashes, or any burning materials from vehicles within the confines of Johnson County, Indiana.

An exception is made in a notation where the order states “the Board of Commissioners does not with to prohibit previously scheduled ceremonial and celebratory burning events such as bonfires and organized cookouts; however, such events may proceed only if approved and/or monitored by the respective fire departments under which their jurisdiction falls.

    Lift the burn ban in Johnson County. Want to go camping with a camp fire and cook over an open fire in the backyard.
