The 2012 primary election is set for Tuesday May 8, and voters need to be aware of some important changes taking place this year. With the implementation of voting centers voters will have fewer places to cast their ballot but will be able to vote at any of the county’s polling places. In addition they will have additional days to place their votes.
April 28, April 30, and May 5, voting centers will be open in Mt Pleasant Christian Church and the Trafalgar Public Library. On April 30 through May 5 four voting centers will be open at Jonathan Byrd’s , Franklin Church of Christ, Franklin Community Center and Edinburgh Public Library. Thanks to Indiana House District candidate Mark Meadows you can find a map of all the Johnson County voting centers online.
For a complete list of voting centers and satellite voting centers, along with the hours and dates you can download a PDF file with all the information provided by Johnson County Clerk here.
Here is a list of the candidates we can find, and the offices they are running for. All candidates listed are Republicans. No Democrats are running in the May2012 primary.
