What did you think of this year's Geist fireworks? Did you like the change in venue? Would you have rather seen the fireworks shot the following day because of the rain? What is your feedback? I'm sure the Geist Lake Coalition would like to hear from you!

This was by far the best show yet! While the weather was not optimal...the change in venue allowed a lot of folks to enjoy the event, whereby the previous location would have been prohibative..

Very disappointed that Bella Vita decided not to let slip holders on the dock adjacent to "The Beach" into the lot (closed the BV lot @ 5:00 p.m. & charged $25 to park). Hauling food, coolers and people from The front of the Marina was fun...thanks! Marina Mgmt indicated this was against Marina policy...especially for their customers who rent slips that are access from behind The Beach.
Great! We loved it. My son-in-law took a ton of pictures, which turned out great Below are just a few. If you need pictures, i can get you all you need. His are great!

post these under "photos" so everyone can see them!
The fireworks were great and I really hope that they are going to be set off again next year in the same spot! I am glad that they were let off on Saturday instead of Sunday. It is too bad that on it's first year of doing all this hard work it just HAD to rain, but all in all everyone that had anything to do with the fireworks and other activities, they all did a really good job. I was impressed. I can just imagine what it will be like next year with out the rain.... keep your fingers crossed. I will be there with bells on... if its not raining!
Please don't give up on it..try again next year! And thanks to everyones hard work.
Fireworks were great! We watched from the front porch of our son's house -- about 1/10th mile from the bridge. There were lots of folks watching from the neighborhoods in the vicinity of the bridge. The fireworks were fabulous. If the weather had been a bit better, we would have walked to the bridge, but didn't want to drag the little ones out into the rain. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate better, but the location was great!!! Hope it continues at this location!
Utilizing the bridge was a great ideal - Cicero has been doing it for a long time at Morse and that is a fun time there. Prelim information on the maps showed Fall Ck would be open to guests, patrons of the marina shops from the light at Brooks School. We were denied access by police even though we had reservations at Bella Vita. Had to go back to Holy Spirit and wait for shuttle which then only took riders as far as Bridgewater. If police not allowing any traffic to marnia why could shuttle at least take riders to the entrance of marnia rather than have them get off a block away and walk, in the rain? There was a handicapped person on the bus and she was very upset about this. So next year, no rain, & work the kinks out of the shuttle service and access for dinner patron at the resturants at the marnia.
As title sponsor and resident for this event, MillerCoors is proud to be apart of such a wonderful community activity. The time, effort and care the Coalition puts into this event is second to none. It would be great to see other families, individuals and local business' all donate more time and resources to keep this event alive. I think guests have to realize the area around Bella Vita and the Marina is private property and that's why the coalition decided to open up the bridge in the first place, so more people can really enjoy the show and expand the reach of the fireworks. Great job to Marty Miller and his team for another display and performance and a special thanks to Brian Hall for taking on the challenge.
