Reputation and Quality are Important for Shane’s

Rob Delaby, owner of Shane’s Outdoor Living & Landscape has been a long-time advertiser with the Geist Community Newsletter.

Shane’s Outdoor Living & Landscape owner Rob Delaby was willing to advertise in the Geist Community Newsletter from the beginning because of publisher Tom Britt’s reputation.

“Tom is held in high regard in the community, and people know him,” Delaby said. “That’s one reason the publication has been so successful.”

He continues to advertise regularly because of the results he sees in lead generation and because buying an ad in the Geist Community Newsletter isn’t about just exchanging money for a certain amount of space.

“For them, the relationship is about more than advertising dollars,” Delaby said. “They’ve taken great pride and care in helping my business grow.”

Shane’s current “Transformations” ad campaign in the newsletter has been one of the company’s most successful promotions. Each ad features a homeowner and before and after photos of a project Shane’s has successfully completed. “It’s given people a firsthand look at the shock and awe of what we can do,” Delaby said.

It also lets potential customers hear from real people, in their own community, about the caliber of the work they can expect from Shane’s. After a few times seeing the ad on the back of the Geist Community Newsletter, Delaby says the position has the power of a direct mailer — Shane’s is planted in people’s minds as the contractor to call for anything from patios to ponds to arbors and outdoor kitchens.

Delaby says he’s selective about where he advertises, because he is conscious of the need to protect his firm’s brand.

“Tom always delivers the kind of quality that I’m proud to be associated with,” he said.
