I have a house listed in a neighborhood across from Lawrence Central.  It has been shown several times by different Realtors in the past month.  Sometime between the evening of August 1 and the afternoon of August 3 the new, stainless steel appliances were stolen out of the house.  The copper pipe leading to the water heater was cut and stolen as well.  There was no evidence of forced entry.  It is assumed that someone posing as a buyer discreetly unlocked a window during the showing and then went back at a later time.  If anyone saw a truck with appliances around that time in the area of 56th and Edlou please contact Detective Lindley at the Lawrence Police Department.
