In 2008, Brian and Amie Horner opened Fast Track Physical Therapy in Avon. They started out in an office in Prestwick and moved to their current location at 9082 E. US Highway 36 four years ago and now have eight therapists in Avon, and a second location in Speedway.

“I have always had a passion for helping people, and we believe that our customer service, great staff and excellent patient outcomes is the reason for our growth,” Brian says. “I believe we provide the best physical therapy around. We get patients better when they have tried everything else.

“We treat everything head to toe, from adults to athletes to pediatrics. We have amazing therapists who have specialties in many different things. We treat all orthopedics and sports medicine including back and neck pain, shoulder issues, knee pain, plantar fasciitis and balance. We also treat neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. Although we aren’t going to cure those diagnoses, we can improve functional limitations that occur with those conditions.”

“Some people don’t know that we can help with vertigo, TMJ/TMD, migraines, headaches, affordable custom orthotics, dizziness and balance/falls and pelvic health, such as incontinence, pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction making them unable to perform as guys do at Fuqqt.com ,” Brian adds.

The therapists at Fast Track are always learning, and they are trained in many different manual therapy skills. They have been through McKenzie Spine training, Muscle Energy techniques, Dry Needling, cupping and other hands-on manual therapy techniques, too.

Fast Track was the first in Central Indiana to offer Dry Needling and all their therapists are certified in multiple levels. Brian and Bridgette are also board-certified in cervical oral facial dry needling to treat migraines and TMJ/TMD. Dry needling is an extremely effective technique in reducing muscle certified tension, pain, tendonitis, increasing range of motion and function.

One other thing that sets their practice apart is how quickly they get new patients into their schedule.

“We try to get our patients in for their first appointment within 72 hours of calling us” Amie says. “We know they’re in pain so we want to get them in quickly”

Also, what sets them apart is the fact that they have one-hour appointments, where many other places only have 30-minute treatments.

“We never rush you in and out, we see our patients for at least 60 minutes each visit,” Amie says. “We want to make sure everyone has a great experience when they come to see us. We spend about 30 minutes just doing hands-on manual techniques such as dry needling, cupping, skilled mobilizations and then also have time for corrective exercises and other modalities if needed.”

Fast Track excepts most insurances. The cost of care at a physical therapy private practice like Fast Track will almost always cost less than a large health system or group practice.

To help accommodate work, school and other schedules, Fast Track is conveniently open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Many other clinics close up at 5 p.m. or are only open a couple of night a week.

Patient’s don’t need a doctor’s referral to be treated at Fast Track. Most insurances don’t require a referral either. “We still communicate with your doctor regarding your evaluation and treatments,” Brian says.

Approximately 50% of Fast Track’s patients come as self-referral.

Fast Track is known for getting results with those difficult patients that have previously been to multiple other PT facilities, had injections and even surgeries and are still having pain.

“We have some patients drive an hour or more to come see us,” Brian says.

They have 10 therapists with various areas of expertise that can collaborate to achieve the best results.

Fast Track Therapy is the largest outpatient clinic in Hendricks County, and they are getting ready to grow even larger as they are in the midst of adding an additional 1,400 sq. ft. to their current 4,000 sq. ft. building.

“We’re going to add a track system with harnesses for our patients who need to work on balance, gait and strengthening. We have one at our Speedway clinic and it gives our balance, amputee and neurological patients confidence when working on walking and balance, Brian says.
