Calling ALL Center Grove Town Supporters!
Don’t let the cost of a certified letter (snail mail!!) slow the development of Center Grove!
If the County Commissioners accept the petition to create Center Grove, state law requires Citizens for Center Grove to send a certified letter to the residents and landowners within the proposed town. Each letter costs more than $3.50 to prepare and mail. The letter needs to go to about 13,000 homes.
The total cost will be over $45,000!
This is the single largest expense
associated with the incorporation effort.
To raise the money Citizens for Center Grove is looking for donations small and large. As part of the campaign to raise funds, C4CG is asking Center Grove residents to visit their web site, CitizensForCenterGrove.org. There you can help offset the cost of a certified letter by donating as little as $5, effectively paying for your own mailing. If possible donate even a larger amount to help pay for a neighbor’s mailing, thus practicing random acts of kindness in our community!
While this is a great place for all residents to assist with the development of the town, it is unlikely to be enough. Therefore, C4CG is asking business owners or individuals who can afford to give larger sums such as $1,000, $5,000, or even $10,000 to contact the Board to discuss how you might help. You can contact them directly at Board@CitizensForCenterGrove.org.
Do not let the chance to become a town fail simply because we were not able to pay for a required mailing. The community needs your contributions now!
Indiana law is very clear; if the residents of an area want to incorporate a town, they are to pay the associated costs. To date funding has primarily come from members of the C4CG Board and volunteers. They have paid for the advertising, printing costs, the survey, and the miscellaneous costs associated with running the organization.
Your community needs your help now!
