Warren’s Ride Raises Funds for Melanoma Research

The Fifth Annual Warren’s Ride and “Neighborhood Stomp” to raise awareness of melanoma and to help find a cure, will be held Saturday, June 23, beginning at 10 a.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 5171 W. Smokey Row Rd., in Greenwood. Entry fees are $20 per adult (motorcycle driver); $10 (motorcycle passenger); and $20 per adult and $10 per child for the two-mile “neighborhood stomp” (fun walk). Entry fee includes t-shirt (if registered before the event) and lunch. All proceeds will be donated to melanoma research. The past four events have netted $19,000 for melanoma research.
Warren’s Ride began in 2008 in honor of Warren Dressler, the music director at Mt. Olive for more than 10 years. Melanoma claimed Warren’s life on June 25, 2008. Corporate or individual sponsorships are available in levels of $100, $250, $500, or $1,000. Donations received before June 2 will include the company’s or individual’s name printed on the back of the t-shirt. Make donations payable to: Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Warren’s Ride, 5171 W.
