The leaves are changing and the crisp autumn air has moved in for the season. Fall is here and family fun can be found just a few miles from Fishers. Three area businesses are ready to provide you with activities for the entire family and help you create memories that last a lifetime.

Stoneycreek Farm
Stonycreek Farm hosts its Pumpkin Harvest Festival each fall and has become an annual tradition for local residents and visitors. The 42nd annual festival begins Sept. 27 and runs through Oct. 31. A hayride to the pumpkin patch is just one of the many activities available which also include a 400 ft. zip line, a haunted house for kids, a gourd sling shot, corn cob cannon, Kiddiepillar (inflatable), candle making, farm animals, new pony cart rides, and so much more.

Most activities require a ticket purchase to participate and start at $1. Food is also available for purchase and a variety of favorites are available daily to feed your appetite.

Tuttle Orchards
Tuttle Orchards is another crowd pleaser, especially popular during the month of October. You can pick out your family pumpkin, buy Tuttle’s award winning apple cider, and enjoy fun fall activities Monday to Saturday. Special Fall Festival days, scheduled all Saturdays in October and other specified days, offer many activities including a kids’ farm area, an agrimaze, and narrated hayrides around the farm. This year, combo passes are available for $6 per person and include all three activities.

There is something at Tuttle Orchards for everyone in the family. Started in 1928 by Roy Tuttle, the orchard is now operated by the 4th generation of the Tuttle/Roney family.

They grow more than 25 varieties of apples you can pick for purchase and offer a farm store, open year round, with a large variety of local and gourmet food items. If you make it there before the first frost, you can also pick sunflowers for $1 per stem.

Piney Acres Farm
Rounding out the recommendations for a fun-filled fall day is the lesser-known option found at Piney Acres Christmas Tree Farm.

Piney Acres offers both daytime activities for the entire family and haunted attractions for those looking for a thrill. The kids’ area includes a two-acre corn maze, gem mining, a new 16’ spider web rope climb, old-fashioned games, a straw mountain, cow milking and more. Gem mining is priced per bag and the kid’s area is $6 per walking child for unlimited play.

Free parking is offered at Piney Acres and a free barnyard including chickens, goats, guineas, and ducks is sure to please parents looking for fun and frugal options.

Haunted attractions have been upgraded this year and group discounts and combo packages are available for hayrides, corn maze, and Haunted Loft experiences.

New this year, a farm fresh breakfast will be available every Saturday morning through the fall season and will feature local produce.

Fewer crowds and a friendly staff make Piney Acres the perfect place to enjoy all that fall has to offer. If you miss this stop on your fall tour, pre-cut and cut-your-own Christmas trees will be waiting for you beginning Nov. 23.
