June 14, 2014 Fishers Outdoor Amphitheater
5 p.m.-8 p.m.
VIP Hour 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

I recently sat down with Bill Jerrow and Michele Whelchel, the co-chairs for the Fishers on Tap – Summer fundraiser, the all-Indiana craft beer tasting event, and discovered that the event is much more than an excuse to try some great local craft beers. On June 14 (Father’s Day weekend), there will be beer samples from 16 local Indiana craft breweries along with pork sliders provided by Dick’s Bodacious Bar-B-Q for all attendees. There will also be live music and golf games from Golf 365 to satisfy those with a competitive spirit.

The VIP hour from 4 to 5 will feature special brews from the same 16 breweries and food samples from local restaurants like Peterson’s, Eddie Merlot’s, Ruth’s Chris, Simeri’s, Rockstone, and Red Sake.

Fishers on Tap – Summer is not your typical beer tasting event, and it is sought after by the breweries for the quality time and conversations they are able to have with local craft beer enthusiasts. But the real winners from this event will be the local charities serving children and youth that will be the beneficiaries. All proceeds are donated to help those in need in our communities.

Unique to this year is the addition of a “Wine Ticket” for those who prefer grapes to hops. It provides entrance to the event and the BBQ sliders, and wine is available for purchase, provided by Chateau Thomas Winery.
Fishers on Tap – Summer is brought to you by the Rotary Club of Fishers, which comprises 121 men and women who believe in service above self, and giving back. Since the inception of the club in 1992 they have donated more than $685,000 to over 87 non-profit organizations and given untold volunteer man hours of service.
