Fishers Resident Receives Indy Public Library Foundation Service Award

A Fishers resident with a 27-year career in public service and management at The Indianapolis Public Library has received The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation’s prestigious Beth Tindel Award.

Cheryl Wright was honored on October 10 during the Library’s annual Staff In-Service Day. As a librarian, branch manager, and now Manager of Organizational Learning and Development, Wright was cited as a true partner to the Library Foundation which provides support for IndyPL programs and services. Her ongoing support for the Foundation’s Staff Development Fund has provided learning opportunities for staff to further the Library’s service mission.

“I am honored to receive the Beth Tindel Award,” said Wright. “It is a pleasure to work with The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation in promoting the Library and helping to develop Library staff.”

The Beth Tindel Award is presented in memory of the 12-year Indy Library employee who was valued for her enthusiastic support of Foundation activities and passion for Library service.
