HSSF Hosts Ugly Golf Pants Contest to Raise Awareness for Local Schools

useWith a goal to raise awareness for local schools, the Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation (HSSF) is on a search for the ugliest golf pants in Fishers. Entries can be submitted by tagging posts on Twitter or Facebook to #UglyPantsHSSF. The winner, determined by councilmen Todd Zimmerman and Eric Moeller as well as HHSF director Freedom Kolb, will receive a small prize from the foundation.

“The foundation sees ourselves as an extension of a community that values education, seeks to drive academic innovation and maintain the excellence that has become associated with HSE,” said Kolb. “#UglyPantsHSSF is a way to increase visibility for our work all while having a great time!”

The competition leads up to the 14th annual “Fore the Kids” Golf Tournament on June 4, though participation in the golf tournament is not required to be able to participate in the contest. Proceeds from the event will benefit elementary literacy, secondary STEM, mental health and social justice programming.

“I think every participant is excited about the tournament for different reasons, but I love the chance for public education champions to come together,” said Kolb. “It will be a great cross section of our community, having fun while making a difference.”

To enter, tag your photo on either Facebook or Twitter to #UglyPantsHSSF. The winner will be chosen June 1 after the golf tournament.
