Todd and Luke Andritsch laid 59,000 pennies into the floor of their new Team Luke home office in Forest Knoll.

When Luke Andritsch was diagnosed at age 3 with leukemia, the little things in life became much more important. “We just started saving pennies, they just seemed like good luck,” said Vicky Andritsch, Luke’s mother. Today, Luke is a healthy 11-year-old boy and the inspiration behind Team Luke, a local children’s cancer charity. Recently, the pennies that the family collected were installed onto the floor of the home office by Luke and his father, Todd. More than 56,000 pennies now serve as a permanent reminder of the love, support, prayers and even luck that the Andritsch family will forever feel.
