Vista Graphic Communications & Prinveo

Always Adapting to Provide the Latest Printing Solutions

Indianapolis-based start-up online printer, Prinveo.com, is combining technologically advanced printing equipment and software to deliver high-quality print at low prices with ultra-fast delivery. It’s a value proposition they are betting will attract local and regional buyers who currently use out-of-state online printers with longer lead times.

Prinveo (pronounced /prin vā’ ō/) was started by Fishers resident, Tim Rolfsen, who also founded and owns Vista Graphic Communications, a full-service packaging and commercial printing company.

While custom packaging is what got Vista to the party, evolving customer needs led them deeper into the commercial printing market. By 2008, Rolfsen made a strategic acquisition, leading them to where they are today.

“We acquired a company that was doing very complex data-driven printing and mailing,” Rolfsen says. “With that acquisition, we also brought on board a small group of data and coding experts. This went beyond just buying lists, we now understood data hygiene, how to merge millions of names from multiple databases and execute complex variable data mailings.”

Rolfsen went on to license software that would become the backbone of the ‘private client portals’ they would build and the same technology they would eventually use for Printron packaging artwork management.

“The private portals we develop are for a specific customer and contain only their print marketing assets, accessible to any authorized user, Rolfsen says. “The sites are as convenient and easy to use as any retail website, and it allows marketing staff to order standard items like business cards and other marketing materials from a catalog of their own designs.”

After gaining experience building private client sites and learning what their customers wanted most, Rolfsen set his sights on building Prinveo, a public facing site, not unlike VistaPrint, but geared more for local and regional customers. In 2016, the development of Prinveo.com really began to take shape.

“Like our business in general, we knew that Prinveo would be an evolution of offerings driven by customer needs,” Rolfsen says. “We plan on adding products and services each quarter. Ease of use, fast turn and high quality are paramount. We like to say, ‘Best in the Short Run.’ Print uploaded and approved by noon on Monday will be ready to ship or pick-up on Wednesday evening.

“Customers are becoming more comfortable purchasing online, and printing is no exception,” Rolfsen adds. “Our technology is just a more streamlined way of providing a file to the printer, instantly looking at a proof and placing the order. Our sweet spot is clients with short-run print who need it quickly. That can be a restaurant, landscaper, graphic designer or even the director of marketing who needs 1,000 brochures for an upcoming trade show.

“If they’re ordering from another online printer, there’s a very good chance it’s being printed in California, Texas, Florida or somewhere else that, on top of the time to print, can take up to a week to arrive. Putting a rush on it can add hundreds to the bill. We’re local, we’re fast and we’re affordable.”

The simplified process of ordering a print job starts by going to prinveo.com. The navigation menu is simple and intuitive. Hovering over “All Products” produces a drop-down menu of all currently offered products or select directly from the menu or any of the product images below. Each screen takes you through a series of simple steps to make your selections, and you’ll get an instant price.

“That’s the bonus,” Rolfsen says. “It’s easier than getting a traditional estimate. You can instantly see your price, competitive pricing and decide if it fits your budget and timeframe.”

Once you’ve made all your selections, just upload your print file, preview it, approve it and then choose when you need it delivered and checkout. Your order is immediately checked for errors and then placed into an electronic queue to be printed. That means quick turnaround times of three to four business days or less on many items.

The company has an unmatched commitment to customer service as well.

“If you’ve got a design question, we’d love to hear from you, we’re only a phone call away, and your satisfaction is our most important goal,” Rolfsen says. “If you don’t have a design, our custom graphic services can create one. To receive a custom design, just submit your design project and have a quick chat with a member of our design team.”
