Noblesville Main Street Announces Giving Tuesday Promotion

This year, Noblesville Main Street will be participating in the Giving Tuesday campaign in hopes of raising much needed funds for the organization.

Giving Tuesday, #GivingTuesday, is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more.

“Our concept for Noblesville Main Street patrons is to have fun with this promotion,” said Chris Owens, executive director. “Our goal is to raise $5,000, and if we do that, I’ll shave the beard I’ve been growing the last seven months in support of our Beards and Brews event, which was held in October.”

“I really want to see that beard go,” said Maggie Owens, Chris’s wife. “I hope that is added motivation for some to give, it’s time for him to shave!”

All kidding aside, funds raised will help support the more than 80 cultural arts events and programs for which Main Street is responsible, including First Fridays, Music & All That Jazz, the Farmers Market and many more.

“If you enjoy all that downtown Noblesville provides this community plus Noblesville Main Street’s events and programs that enhance the downtown experience, then please consider a gift to our organization,” added Chris Owens. “We are on the verge of tremendous growth and development opportunities, but we are dependent on donations and membership fees.”

Noblesville Main Street is in the process of mailing 2016 membership renewals, but you can join now or make a donation in any amount online. For more information, please visit our website at noblesvillemainstreet.org.
