Fall in Love with Bus Commuting on Valentine's Day

Coming off a week when ridership doubled due to Super Bowl traffic and temporarily added mid-afternoon shuttles, the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA) and Miller Trailways, operator of Indy Express Bus, have put together a special promotion for Valentine’s week.

On Feb. 14, morning rush hour riders get a free trip downtown, chocolates donated by the Carmel Meijer and the chance to fall in love with the convenience of an Express Bus commute. Riders also may register to win a romantic getaway that includes a donated overnight stay at the Hilton downtown and dinner for two at McCormick and Schmick. In fact, every day Feb. 13-17 riders may register to win the romantic getaway (one registration per day). What’s not to love?

Weekday morning and evening rush hour fares are $5 one way. Buses depart from and return to Carmel’s park-and-ride lot at the Meijer at West Carmel Drive and Pennsylvania Street, and the Fishers park-and-ride lot at Prairie View at Crosspoint at Lantern Road and 106th Street.
