Grants Being Accepted for Carmel Green Teen Program Through September 20

Girl Scout troop 1166 created a butterfly garden at the Clay Middle School Outdoor Ecology Laboratory this summer. The butterfly garden will provide Clay MS science classes with a hands-on environment to study nature and life cycles while offering a useful butterfly habitat. This project is one of ten youth environmental projects funded thus far through the Carmel Green Teen Micro-Grant Program. If your youth group would like to partake in a green, youth-driven project in Carmel, funding for your activity is available. Applications and details can be found at www.CarmelGreenTeen.org. Applications are easy to fill out and are due September 20, 2010. Scout, school, religious, and community service groups are encouraged to apply.
