A Note from Admirals Pointe resident Stephen Avery
There is a young lady living here in Indianapolis named Megan Wilkerson who graduated with our son at Lawrence Central High School, Lawrence Indiana who does not have long to live.
She came down with a very rare and extremely aggressive type of brain cancer. She has been put through the gauntlet in all attempts to keep her alive, but now she has but a few days left. Megan has been and out of numerous hospitals here in Indy and Chicago.
Recently she was sent back down to Indy from Chicago, but had to be immediately admitted to the Peyton Manning Reilly Hospital for children. Her mother and family has had to endure this horrific situation not to mention what this lovely young lady has had to go through.
It's kind of tough as a single mom to make ends meet when her daughter who almost lived 24/7 at a medical facility the past 1 1/2 years. There is a fund that her teachers and classmates had set up which I will forward to you this evening. It is my understanding that Ms. Wilkerson is in a coma and may not wake up again. More to follow! Please pass this along to those that may care!
