On Sunday, March 1st, the first annual Ladies' Formal Tea was hosted by Moorings Village at the lovely home of Mrs. Shannon Thomson. Guests were greeted to a variety of appetizers, including cucumber sandwiches and raspberry scones, as well as a sampling of local and national teas. The tea party's dress code included formal attire, complete with new spring hats and white gloves. Many guests brought along their daughters, who had a lovely time playing dress-up and sipping tea with their friends. Moorings Village arranged for a local photographer, Cindy Smith, to take pictures of each lady in her formal best. At the end of the party, Mrs. Thomson graciously provided each guest with a small box of party favors. It was a smashing good time and is sure to become a neighborhood tradition!
