Someone Stealing Catalytic Convertors in Carmel

The Carmel Police Department has responded to two catalytic convertor thefts in the last week. The first occurred at Five Seasons, 1300 E. 96th Street and the latest was at Saint Vincent Health located at 10330 North Meridian Street. The vehicles were a Honda Pilot and Honda Element. In both cases the owner left their vehicle in the parking lot and when they returned the catalytic convertor had been stolen.

Please be aware and keep a look out for suspicious activity. These criminals typically drive or walk through the parking lot looking for specific vehicles. The most common vehicles they target are SUVs. They also have to crawl under the vehicle and use a saw to cut the exhaust pipes on both sides of the converter. If you see anything suspicious please call the Police Department to report it.
