A Statement from the Fishers Freedom Festival President Don Dragoo After 29 years of providing a long-standing tradition for Fishers residents and families, it with great sadness that the Fishers Freedom Festival announces the immediate ceasing of the Fishers Freedom Festival event held annually that celebrates Independence Day. In August, Fishers City Council with the support of Mayor Fadness decided to discontinue all grant money and in-kind services to the festival when they selected 13 organizations to split $331,000. New competition at this year’s Fishers Freedom Festival is looking for talented kids This year’s Fishers Freedom Festival, presented by Freedom Mortgage, will have a new featured event and needs your help to make it successful. “Fishers Kids Show Us Your Talent” is open to kids aged 8 years old through 18 years old to perform their special talents that could include singing, dancing, musical performance or magic acts. Fishers Freedom Festival’s Royal Court

The Fishers Freedom Festival proudly announces its 2008 Royal Court which is sponsored by Community Health Network. The court is made up of a queen, a king, four princesses and four princes. The Fishers Freedom Festivalʼs Royal Court will be crowned on Saturday, June 28 during the opening ceremonies.
