Get a Piece of Lawrence History

brick The old Belzer Middle School building (which was the original Lawrence Central High School) has been demolished, making room for improvements to the middle school. Engraved bricks from the original building are available for $25, with proceeds to benefit the Lawrence Township School Foundation and the Lawrence Township Alumni Council.

The three-story building opened as Lawrence Central High School in 1941, uniting Oaklandon, Castleton and Lawrence Schools, and became Belzer Junior High in 1963. With the addition of 6th grade, the building was renamed Belzer Middle School.

The Foundation is taking orders for the engraved, commemorative bricks. You can download an order form at www.msdltf.org or call 317-423-8300 for more information.
