Lawrence Township Schools Staff Respond Postively to Survey about their jobs

Stakeholder satisfaction is an important district goal for Lawrence Township.  In December 2007 classified staff members in Lawrence Township received a stakeholder satisfaction survey to complete.  Classified staff from the following areas were asked to complete this survey:  nurses, instructional assistants, office staff, secretaries, treasurers, food service, and substitutes.  318 classified staff members responded and the results are very positive.  A quick glance at a few of the summary results:

95% believe that MSDLT is a friendly place to work
92% feel they are treated with respect by fellow employees
90% believe their job makes a positive difference in the educational experience
95% like coming to work each day
91% feel their department/division provides quality service
In addition, the classified staff members were asked about areas they would like additional training and professional development.  This list has been shared with key district leaders and plans have begun to try and implement this support.

Additional satisfaction surveys are administered to other classified groups not included in this one during various times throughout the year.

Lawrence Township is pleased with the survey results but will conduct another survey with the same group in late April or early May and compare results.  This will continue to be an important part of the district’s plan for stakeholder satisfaction.
