9th Annual ‘Handbags for Hope’ Charity Auction
Beacon of Hope Crisis Center will hold its ninth annual Handbags for Hope auction for charity on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. This auction is being held in support of domestic violence victims, and will auction off elegant purses, accessories and gifts.
Local celebrities including Sherman Burdette of Fox 59, Steve Jefferson of WTHR-13, Bruce Kimball of the Carmel City Council and many more will appear at the auction as models for the items. Chuck Lofton of WTHR-13 will, again, be the emcee of the event. Celebrities such as Laura and Lauren George, designer Alpha Blackburn, Laura Campbell of the Carmel City Council and many more have also donated purses and other items to be auctioned off.
Among the items to be sold in the silent auction are masses of donated purses, jewelry, local gift baskets and unique packages. Last year, ‘Handbags for Hope’ raised over $25,000 for advocacy services offered to victims by the Beacon of Hope Crisis Center. More than 1,000 victims every year are helped through Beacon of Hope programs, like the auction.
Tickets for this event are $50, including a lunch. Tickets can be purchased through BeaconOfHopeIndy.org.
