Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) received a top ranking in the tenth annual Digital School Districts Survey by the Center for Digital Education (CDE) and the National School Boards Association (NSBA) at the NSBA’s annual conference in New Orleans, LA.
The survey showcases exemplary school boards’ and districts’ use of technology to govern the district, communicate with students, parents and the community, and improve district operations. The school districts were recognized for their expanding use of innovative technologies district-wide as well as in the classroom.
“This honor from the CDE and NSBA is a tribute to the hard work of our technology staff, the commitment by teachers to utilize technology in innovative ways, and the vision we share with our school board,” said Julie Bohnenkamp, CGCSC Director of Technology. “Center Grove has created a culture where technology is embedded into the curriculum and daily operation. This supports 21st century learning and allows our staff and board to utilize technology to improve communication, collaboration, and instruction.”

The survey ranked Center Grove ranked fourth in the mid-sized student population district category. The top ten rankings are awarded to those school boards/districts that most fully implement technology benchmarks in the evolution of digital education, as represented in the survey questions.
