The Center Grove School system has announced the 2013 “Teacher of the Year” nominees. The winner will be announced during a reception on Thursday, April 25, at Center Grove Middle School Central. The event starts at 7 p.m. and includes recognition of nominees by their school’s principal, as well as a Crystal Apple Award for each school’s winner. Ron Wallman from The Horace Mann companies sponsors the event each year.
The 2013 Center Grove Teacher of the Year receives $1,000 from the Center Grove Community School Corporation and their portfolio will be submitted for consideration as Indiana’s Teacher of the Year.
This year’s nominees are:
- Erin Stout, Middle School Central (Special Education)
- Jerry Maguire, Center Grove High School (Language Arts)
- Ashley Kinner, North Grove Elementary (Art)
- Nathan Williamson, Center Grove Elementary (English as a New Language)
- Chelsea Fleming, Middle School North (Art)
- Bernie Doyle, Maple Grove Elementary (Phys. Ed.)
- Randy Allen, Pleasant Grove Elementary (Grade 5)
- Alicia Whitehead, Sugar Grove Elementary (Grade 4)
