After several weeks of construction delays His Place is open. In a world that appears to be dominated by franchises and chain stores the Center Grove area is home to a number of local businesses. His Place, a unique ice cream and coffee shop destination with an emphasis on Christian Rock music. The shop provides local Christian artists an opportunity to showcase their talents.
His Place, located just south of Fairview Road before State Road 37 (map link), is owned by Kyle and Cheryl Adamson. Kyle stated “His Place was an inspiration from my wife Cheryl that this business is only going to be a success if God is in control and at the center of the business. So it is not our place…it is His Place.”
Friends gathered when build out started and wrote Bible verses on the concrete before the floor was laid over their favorite verses. Click and image to see a slide show of all images in a larger size.

His Place will provide all of the traditional ice cream favorites such as soft serve and hand dipped ice cream (Blue Bell). Shakes, floats, waffle cones, blended candy and ice cream treats and most importantly; 50 unique types of sundaes! His Place will offer a wide variety of Fair Trade coffee, (see the At Center Grove story on Fair Trade Goods here) along with specialty coffee drinks and tea. His Place guests will also be able to enjoy fresh pastries and bakery items free Wi-Fi, a drive-thru and kids play area. Friday and Saturday nights will feature live acoustic music is played.
