Jason Taylor will take the reins of the nationally recognized Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) Technology Department. The CGCSC Board of School Trustees approved Taylor’s appointment to Chief Technology Officer at its meeting on Thursday evening.
Taylor comes to Center Grove from the Monroe County Community School Corporation where he spent three years leading technology efforts for the district of nearly 11,000 students. Before moving to Monroe County, Taylor served for four years as Center Grove’s Data Integration Manager.
“I’m excited to return to Center Grove,” said Taylor. “This is an excellent team and I look forward to building on Center Grove’s reputation as a national leader in innovation.”
Taylor is a graduate of Franklin College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education Technology from Indiana University (IU) and is pursuing an Ed.D. from IU. Taylor was one of the first educators nationwide to receive an Education Technology Leader certification.
“We are thrilled to have Jason rejoin our staff,” said CGCSC Superintendent Dr. Rich Arkanoff. “He is a talented leader who knows our schools and our systems and will be able to jump in without losing any of the momentum this team has built.”
In April, Center Grove was ranked among the top 10 in the nation in the annual Digital School Districts Survey by the Center for Digital Education (CDE) and the National School Boards Association (NSBA).
