United Way of Johnson County will be announcing the results of the 2013-2014 fundraising campaign at the organization’s Annual Celebration on March 20, 2014. Volunteers have been working very hard to raise enough money to meet the campaign goal of $1,488,000. However, right now the organization is projecting a short fall of $48,000.

“We are reaching out to the community and asking individuals, companies or organizations if they haven’t made a pledge or gift yet, please do so. Every donation, small or large will help us towards meeting the goal.” stated campaign chair, Stephanie Wagner. “United Way of Johnson County and the 20 agencies it funds provide valuable services to your community. We estimate one out of every four individuals have been touched by a United Way agency or program. If we don’t reach our goal, the United Way Board of Directors will have some tough decisions because our goal is based on the needs of the agencies and the programs that United Way of Johnson County provides.”

Contributions can be mailed to United Way of Johnson County, 460 North Morton Street, Suite D, P.O. Box 153, Franklin, IN 46131. Donations can also be made through the organizations website uwjc.org.

The Annual Celebration will take place on March 20, 2013 at Jonathan Byrds and will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $21.00 per person. Anyone wanting to attend the Annual Celebration may make reservations by calling the United Way of Johnson County office at (317) 736-7840.
