Community Day at Walnut Ridge Benefits Salvation Army

Center Grove’s Walnut Ridge Golf Course is hosting a “Community Day” this Saturday to benefit the Salvation Army. Walnut Ridge is a par three, 18 hole course on Morgantown Road just north of Stones Crossing.

Community Day starts off with golf scramble. Registration begins at 8 with the first swing set for 9. Cost of the scramble is $25 with the proceeds benefiting the Salvation Army. The usual assortment of scramble prizes, closest to pin, longest drive, etc. will be available.

Local businesses and vendors will be onsite displaying their products and services, according to course manager John Overby. Each business has agreed to make a donation to the Salvation Army in exchange for being able to be present at the event. In addition to product demonstrations some businesses will be providing fun activities for the kids such as a bounce house.

Entertainment during the event will be provided by local Artist Josh Hann.
