We’ve all been there, a spontaneous girls night out, a date after work and last minute weekend getaway. Panic starts to sweep over you as you stumble into your closet only to realize that you forgot to do the laundry or perhaps you’re just sick of your clothes and all you want to do is broadcast to anyone that will listen, the universal cry, “I have nothing to wear!” The problem is not due to a lack of places to shop, but the ability and the time needed to buy an outfit when you need something fast.
BluePeppermint Boutique is a clothing and accessory boutique offering a new service — DOOR DELIVERY. That’s right, you could have a new top, new shoes, earrings to go with an existing outfit, a sweater or jacket to finish off an outfit, a necklace, jeans and boots, and they will deliver it within an hour. And you don’t have to even answer your door because a text will notify you that your package has arrived. Last-minute shopping just took on a whole new meaning.
Jessica Landez, CEO and Founder of BluePeppermint Boutique, created the fast delivery concept to offer a solution for women of all ages to be able to shop from the comfort of their own home on the store’s beautiful website and literally have a brand new outfit and accessories in under an hour. Delivery is currently being offered in Fishers and the plan is to eventually expand delivery into neighboring communities.
BluePeppermint Boutique is located at 8936 South Street behind the Wendy’s located on 116th Street and directly across from the Starbucks drive-through in the quaint green house. Once inside the boutique, you will feel right at home, with an amazing assortment of chic clothing, accessories, shoes to look fabulous day or night. The store offers a vast array of sizes and styles for moderate prices that will never sacrifice quality.
Landez, a resident of Fishers for 15 years, loves the community and knew that Fishers was where she would one day have a business. Having never worked in the retail industry before, she opted to start small and learn the ropes. So, she launched her retail business five years ago in a rented space from MJ Layne Boutique in Fishers to start small with minimal risk so that she could learn the ropes of running a boutique. After two years, she felt ready to take the next step and open her own store.
“Fishers is the perfect place for entrepreneurs, and I was blessed to find the little green house and knew this was the next step for my business,” Landez says.
And like most small business owners, she is involved in all aspects of the business and is especially customer focused.
“My goal is to make everyone feel welcome, offer quality products at a great price point and be the go-to place for women of all ages,” she says.
Born and raised in Martinsville, Landez received a degree in teaching from Indiana State University and quickly realized that it was not her calling. After several years of working in real estate and human resources as well as raising a family, Landez was ready for something different. She had always loved fashion and dreamt of one day owning her own boutique.
“When I was in high school, I always thought my dream job would be locked inside the mall after hours,” she says with a laugh. Landez feels blessed to be able to make a living shopping and helping her clients, friends and neighbors to look and feel their best.
“Owning a boutique gives me the opportunity to get to know my clients personally, and I am grateful to live and work in Fishers,” she adds.
