New Owners Purchase Fishers Banquet Center

Since 2006, the Fishers Banquet Center has provided hospitality for events ranging from weddings to corporate meetings. Last month, the property was sold at a sheriff’s sale to Greg O’Herren, owner of Shamrock Builders in Indianapolis.

“We actually closed on the property two weeks ago. It was being sold at a sheriff’s sale, being sent back to the bank,” said O’Herren. “I came in here about a month ago and saw that it was being sold and I thought that maybe 17218543923_a310045bf3_kit could be an office building. But after I talked to the staff, I decided that this was a really good business and that we should keep it as it is.”

The banquet hall has a capacity for hundreds of people with up to 4,200 square feet of event space. From a 10-person conference room to a ballroom that can seat up to 500, the floorspace is versatile for an array of events. The facility also has a full kitchen, perfect for on and offsite catering. When they found the sale, O’Herren and his wife Cami decided to take the opportunity.

“It is just one of those things that just stands out in front of you and you just have to say ‘yeah, that looks like a good opportunity’,” said Cami O’Herren.

The O’Herrens plan to change the name of the banquet center to The Wellington, creating a more modern and upscale image. With past experience in sales, marketing, realty and construction, the couple strives to provide exceptional customer service.

“We weren’t specifically looking to be in the catering business but it is a good fit. We are not really in the business but we are in business,” said Greg O’Herren. “It is all about customer satisfaction and taking care of people. All we are trying to do is take care of customers.”

I can say that Greg O'Herren has stepped in and will run this facility the way it should have be done. I have an event booked at the venue during this transition and him and his new employees have made it a great experience despite the negative attempt the previous owners have made to defame them. I will support the Wellington in any of my future events and would recommend them to others.

Already a beautiful facility, their fresh new menu and new chef will make this venue a place to rediscover. The Wellington is a re-boot to an already well-working operation. Congratulations!
