Lawrence Fire Department:
In 1988 the Lawrence Fire Department (LFD) helped 3 needy families around the Holidays. The program has grown to helping 500 families and runs year round. During the year LFD assists families with gas, buying groceries and purchasing kids coats. Around the Holidays they purchase food and toys for kids. The program has NO administration fees allowing all donations go towards the families. People can help by monetary donations or donating new toys. LFD are looking forward to GLC members involvement. Thanks Dino Batalis 317-339-6703.

Lawrence Fraternal Order of Police:
Over twenty five years ago Lawrence FOP started Cops and Kids (formerly shop with a cop) program . The program was established to build positive relationships between police officers and the children of the community. FOP Cops and Kids is a unique opportunity that allows Lawrence Police Officers to assist Lawrence children in a way far different than any other. FOP Cops and Kids create a situation to help build a better future for the children and our community. The FOP values our most precious national resource in every child’s future. In this event we assist these children in finding that new jacket, new winter clothing, a new pair of shoes and that special toy that had only been a dream all year long. The FOP needs community financial participation to make this event such a huge success. For additional information contact Tom Ashcraft or Michele Stewart with FOP 317-710-7030 lawrencefop159@aol.com.
