The Main Event at Geist Neighborhood Pub and Grill has opened its doors in the Geist area along Olio Road and 113th. It’s the second location for owners Steve and Amy Wentland who also own and manage the Main Event on 96th.

19782471991_6f37b67096_kThe new bar/restaurant takes over the place of the former Bubbaz, Flying Shrimp and a little more as they took some extra space available at the end of the building to bring the total space for the restaurant/bar up to more than 5,000 square feet.

The Main Event has added a higher wall separating the family restaurant from the bar area. They added more family dining area and more games, and they hope to add more outdoor patio seating as well. And there are still dozens of TVs throughout the restaurant/bar!

The Wentlands say they are excited to bring family dining and entertainment to the Geist area.

“We want it to be a place where the whole family can come,” says Amy. “The parents can have a drink at the bar while kids play games and dine nearby. If kids want to stop before and after sporting events, they have a safe place to go with good food and reasonable prices.”

The Main Event offers plenty of fun specials during the week such as Taco Tuesday with 50 cent tacos and Thirsty Thursday with drink specials. The menu offers up some favorites such as chicken velvet soup, country fried chicken, beef manhattan and sloppy joes.

The Main Event’s Family Friendly Grand Opening was July 25. Specials are posted daily on their Facebook page, and for more information, call 317-413-6644.
