Mud Day at Cyntheanne Park

Mud Day 2Chalk this one up to extreme creativity…The Fishers Parks & Recreation Department hosted Mud Day at Cyntheanne Park on Saturday, July 20th.  They combined two hundred tons of topsoil and twenty thousand gallons of water and created every six year old’s fantasy and every mother’s nightmare!  Despite initial reservations by the parents, the event was very well attended with kids and parents crawling around in the mud.  An occasional kids being stuck only added to the excitement and they were quickly freed by the Parks & Recreations staff that could not resist getting a little muddy themselves.

In addition to open play, there were a variety of games and relay races facilitated by the staff in addition to a DJ playing family friendly music.  The atFisher’s vote for the youngest and bravest participant goes to Dallas who obviously was enjoying himself immensely.  The event was enhanced by some local food vendors including Earth Fare, Kona Ice, and Extreme Pizza who happened to be showcasing their newest addition to their business…a food truck.  Keep your eyes open for more fun events hosted by the Fishers Parks & Recreation Department or let us do it for you by liking the Fishers Community Newsletter Facebook page!
