14th Annual Event Will Benefit The Sharing Place
The Holy Cross Lutheran Church will host the 14th Annual “Neighbors Sharing with Neighbors 5K Walk / Run” to benefit The Sharing Place on Saturday, October 28 at 9 a.m. On-site registration opens at 8 a.m.
The Sharing Place is an outreach of Lutherwood and Lutheran Child and Family Services, providing free food and clothing to families referred by caseworkers, township trustees, pastors or other social service organizations at 6501 Sunnyside Road. The 5K event will begin in the parking lot of the church at 8115 Oaklandon Road, proceed north to The Highlands at Geist into Admirals Landing and then passes through Crystal Pointe returning through The Highlands to the church. No roads will be closed for the hour-long event, so be careful of participants if you drive through the course at that time.
Interested in participating in the 5K? The cost is $10 per person or $30 per family and includes a T-shirt and medals for the first three finishers in each division. Additional information and entry forms are available at hclc.info/serve/community/5k-runwalk/.
