Mullet Battery Inc. Remains a One-Stop Battery Shop Nearly 35 Years Later

Archeologists tell us that the first battery dates from approximately 250 BC in Mesopotamia. It was a 5-inch pottery jar that contained an iron rod encased in a copper cylinder. Of course, there’s no way of knowing how exactly it was used since flashlights weren’t invented until 1898, around which time the battery became truly reliable.
Truly reliable batteries is what Mullet Battery Inc. in Goshen is all about. Since Delbert Mullet founded the company in 1986, it has been specializing in batteries of all kinds, from the tiniest hearing aid battery to industrial commercial batteries. From the very beginning, Mullet was community-minded.
“He saw a need for less expensive batteries and began by refurbishing batteries and selling them for a fraction of the cost of a new battery,” explains Delbert’s son, Lynn Mullet, who is the vice president and co-owner.
As time went on, however, the customers’ needs changed. So Delbert expanded the Mullet Battery product lines.
“He began to sell new batteries as well,” Lynn says.
As the business products expanded, they also added to their staff. Altogether, their staff represents 70 years of experience in the field.
The staff at Mullet Battery are especially known for their expertise in car batteries. Not only do they sell a wide range of batteries for all sorts of vehicles, but they also offer battery testing and installation, and both services are free for most cars. Of course, whenever they install a new car battery, they make a point to save the memory on the car computer.
As battery specialists, the Mullet Battery staff are able to give an old cordless tool a new lease on life by rebuilding the battery pack. However, when restoring an old battery isn’t an option anymore, this business also offers a battery recycling center.
Mullet Battery offers other products as well, like high-end jumper cables, battery chargers, and maintainers. Other battery accessories are also available at their storefront for commercial and personal use, such as anti-corrosive products, bulk batteries, primary wire, and welder cables.
