The Club at Chatham Hills Offers Top-Notch Facilities & Services

It’s a community that people fall in love with right from the start. Just ask member Joe Copeland, who was instantly drawn to the atmosphere, the amenities and the amazing people at the Club at Chatham Hills.
According to Megan Benish, the Club’s Membership and Communications Director, the average member’s age is 46.5. Therefore, they cater to both families and working individuals. At the same time, they accommodate the empty nesters and retirees as well.
“We wanted to take care of everybody by making the amenities super modern,” Benish says.
This includes having both an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, pro shop, golf simulator, bowling alley, two restaurants and a two-story rec center with gymnasium, fitness center and state-of-the-art exercise equipment. The rec center also has a separate room for sunrise and blackout spin classes as well as a room for mat Pilates, yoga and TRX classes (all of which are included in the membership cost).
The 25-meter indoor pool is equipped for lap swimming and lessons. They have plans to organize a kids’ swim team that will compete against the Bridgewater Club, the Monon Community Center and the Fishers YMCA.
The massive outdoor pool, which opens Memorial Day weekend, has a diving well, lap swimming, a sun deck where loungers can sit in eight inches of water and a swanky resort-style swim-up bar.
“People will be able to grab a Mai Tai, a smoothie, or some food,” Benish says.
In addition, the outdoor pool will feature a splash pad and toddler pool with a waterfall feature.
“Parents like knowing that their kids are safe, fed and cared for,” Benish says. “We’re very hands-on and do a lot of activities with the children.”
The clubhouse has two restaurants: Chats on the Hill and Hamilton’s Bar & Grill. Chats on the Hill boasts yummy AM offerings such as made-to-order omelets, avocado toast, Chorizo breakfast burritos, fresh fruit and granola.
“It’s got a coffee-house feel with quick service,” Benish says.
Lunch and dinner items include burgers, nachos, wings, wraps and fresh salads.
Hamilton’s Bar & Grill, an upscale sports bar, offers Chilean sea bass, ribeye, pastas and vegan options. They also have a great wine list and a number of local draft beers. They work with local purveyors to serve the freshest food possible. Besides wings and upscale tater tots that were inspired by the Ritz-Carlton hotel, they offer a tasty kids’ menu with items like grilled chicken breasts, grilled broccoli florets and personal pizzas.
Complete with a shuffleboard court, Hamilton’s also has two private dining rooms — one of which can seat up to 16 and the other 44 — ideal for rehearsal dinners, special parties and work functions. For larger events like weddings, luncheons and proms, the Sky Ballroom, with an incredible view of the Chatham Valley, can seat up to 225 people without a dance floor or 200 with a dance floor. (It’s open to the public.)
The pro shop stocks the latest apparel from Nike, Under Armour, Vineyard Vines, Peter Millar and Travis Mathew. Beneath the pro shop is two golf simulator lounges — perfect during the chilly winter months. Also great fun on snowy days is the large hill on the north side of the property that converts into a dynamite sledding hill. Guests can relax beside the gas fireplace and enjoy hot cocoa or hot toddies.
For indoor fun, there’s a 4-lane bowling alley with a retro 50s throwback vibe. Though open bowling is popular, lanes can also be rented out for private parties.
And here’s a fun fact: The Clubhouse sells Chatham honey that comes from the two beehives by hole 12.
“We installed them for natural pollination to the area, but we also wanted to produce our own honey to use in our cooking and our cocktails,” Benish says. “Those with allergies put it in tea to help them get acclimated to the areas where bees are pollinating.”
Not surprisingly, memberships are filling up fast.
“Once we visited the community, we fell in love,” Copeland says. “Everyone is down to earth and social. The club is beautiful, and the course is top-notch. Everyone who works here is welcoming and takes care of all of the small details.”
The Chatham Hills Clubhouse is located at 20298 Tomlinson Rd. in Westfield. For more information, call 317-836-8019 or visit chathamhills.com.
