Tropical Smoothie CafeJames Volpert, co-owner and operator of several Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in Central Indiana, says locals are excited about the new location that will soon be opening in Westfield.

“I hope to be open some time in early April,” Volpert says. “The building is built, we just need to work on the interior. We will be in the Oakridge shops.”

Volpert is pleased with the Westfield location.

“Westfield is an incredible city to serve amazing smoothies and food with a bit of tropical fun,” he says. “We want to be involved in the community at all levels.”

Volpert, who co-owns the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Fishers location, says excitement over the smoothies has been spreading across the country.

“With over 800 stores in the country, there has been obsession with the food and smoothies from the fans,” he says. “Just recently the Harlem Globetrotters were in town, and one of them wanted our Triple Berry Oat smoothie. We made a run down to Bankers Life Fieldhouse to deliver our awesome smoothies to them.”

Volpert believes the restaurant, which serves smoothies, which may contain a protein powder, sandwiches and other treats, has been a unique hit because of the great care taken in the preparation of the food.

“Our sandwiches are made fresh to order along with the smoothies,” Volpert says. “You eat better and feel better.”

Volpert says new customers won’t be disappointed.

“Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s menu boasts bold, flavorful smoothies with a healthy appeal, all made-to-order with quality ingredients,” he says. “We find that real fruits, veggies and juices just taste better. Our toasted wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads and quesadillas are made to suit your individual tastes with quality meats, fresh produce and flavorful sauces.”

Volpert says updated technology and enhanced mobile ordering capabilities further improve the digital and dine-in cafe experience, and emphasize the eatery’s focus on convenience.

Tropical Smoothie is one of the fastest-growing concepts in the country according to Volpert. The Fishers location was officially opened in December. Volpert co-owns and operates the Fishers store with his wife Angela, as well as David and Ruth Buko.

Volpert says additional Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations are scheduled to open in Noblesville, Zionsville and Whitestown.

David and Ruth Buko became Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchisees back in 2012, when they opened their first restaurant in Lansing, Michigan. James and Angela Volpert, meanwhile, bring years of experience in the advertising and sales industries to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe concept.

“Our mission is to inspire a healthier lifestyle by serving amazing food and smoothies with a bit of tropical fun,” Volpert says.
