City Announces Lawrence Prayer Breakfast
Mayor Dean Jessup announced today the fourth annual celebration of the National Day of Prayer in Lawrence this Thursday, May 2nd. The day’s activities include a breakfast, with keynote speaker Mike MacIntosh, followed by a lunchtime prayer service.
The 2014 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will take place Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the Sterrett Center, 8950 Otis Avenue. The event will feature remarks by Senior Pastor Mike MacIntosh of Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego, California. Only a few seats remain for this free event, and an RSVP is requested. Beginning at 12:00 noon, several church leaders from throughout the city of Lawrence will lead an outdoor ceremony in the parking lot of the Lawrence Government Center, 9001 E 59th Street. This community event is free and no RSVP is required.
