The Cub Reporter, Lawrence Central’s student newspaper, has received a George H. Gallup award in the Quill & Scroll international news media evaluation. It is the organization’s highest critique rating possible and the 10th consecutive Gallup for the Cub Reporter.
Judging was done on issues from the 2006-07 school year. The editor-in-chief was Kelly Nash, daughter of L. Terry and Judy Nash and a freshman at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. The newspaper’s faculty adviser is Elizabeth Granger.
Quill & Scroll is the international honor society for high school journalists.
