McKenzie receives grant to create ‘Supply Chain Academy’

McKenzie Career Center has been awarded a $32,000 grant to create a Supply Chain Academy.  Partnering with the University of Indianapolis, McKenzie math and entrepreneurship teachers are writing lesson plans that demonstrate supply chain with hands-on activities that use math and business skills.

The grant will also support a second year of Young Executive Camp.  Middle school students spend a week of day camp completing projects in packaging, running a business and touring local distribution facilities.  The high school supply chain academy will culminate in  fourth semester classes at the University of Indianapolis in finite math and supply chain.  Students will be enrolled as students at the University of Indianapolis and receive dual high school and college credit for the classes.
