As Indiana University commit Hayden Huybers heads into her fourth and final season playing HSE Volleyball, she strives to do what she has been throughout her entire high school career – win.
Huybers completed her junior year season as the leading hitter with 460 kills, breaking Purdue and HSE alumn Kierra Jones’ school hitting record. While helping the team to a successful season, Huybers also maintained a 3.6 GPA and managed multiple honors and AP courses.
“It is hard to come home late from games, do your homework after and then wake up early the next day and go to school,” said Huybers. “I try to do my homework on the bus and try to get my work done early in school.”
Huyber’s main goal for the season is to win state, defeating Carmel High School after their loss against them last year at Sectional.
“For my senior season, I want to win state. That is our goal,” said Huybers. “The team is looking good and we have high expectations.”
