Fishers Appoints Lisa Bradford as New Controller

Mayor Scott Fadness appointed Lisa Bradford as new Fishers City Controller. Bradford served under former controller Oscar Gutierrez since Fishers’ transition from a town to a city in January 2015. She brings a wealth of experience and a proposal to transform the department.

“Lisa has a real passion for progressing the Controller’s office as well as this organization,” Fadness says. “Lisa has already started assuming her new role, and we’re excited to see what she can accomplish.”

A Pendleton High School graduate, Bradford completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Management in 2003 at Purdue University. Shortly thereafter she also earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License. Prior to joining the City of Fishers, Bradford served as an Assistant Tax Controller with Duke Realty.

The City of Fishers created the Controller’s office upon becoming a city and has achieved AAA bond rating, the only city in Indiana to have the distinction. Bradford sees more opportunities to educate the public on the role of her team and the importance of a progressive, efficient Controller’s Office.

“I’m really excited to modernize our department and revamp how we interact with customers, internal team and external stakeholders,” Bradford stated. “In the future, I hope our department becomes more efficient, effective and forward-thinking to best serve our community.”

A Fishers resident since 2015, Bradford is familiar with the community and a popular face at many Fishers events. Learn more about the Controller’s Office on the City of Fishers’ website.
