The Hamilton Southeastern Hockey Club consisting of kids from both HSE and Fishers High Schools won the state 5A High School Tournament Championship last night. They played a three game competition against Culver Military Academy. Despite losing the first game, HSE came back to win both the second and third games consecutively with a score of 4 – 0.
No public school has won the highest 5A division since 1984 when Carmel beat St. Josephs. Now, twenty-five years later, HSE is celebrating this victorious feat! Also, in the 38 years of competition, this is the first time that a goalie, (in this case, senior John Holt,) has ever had two consecutive shut outs.
Congratulations to the HSE Hockey Club coached by Mike Berger!
