Fishers resident John D. Cooke of Wachovia Securities has been recognized by Barron’s magazine in its April 23 edition as one of the top 100 financial advisors in the United States. Cooke is a Managing Director of Investments with Wachovia Securities in Indianapolis.
Cooke, a former Air Force pilot, joined Thompson McKinnon Securities as a financial advisor in 1968. He was one of the first to develop a team approach so that he would have the skills necessary to offer complete investment planning to his clients. He is also considered a pioneer of many of the trends that are dominating the investment industry today.
Cooke’s business has evolved into a family affair. His two sons, Chris and Brian (also Managing Directors), have been with him for over 15 years each. They represent a 16 member team in Indianapolis which provides financial consulting and wealth management services to substantial net worth individuals and institutions.
